5 Things to Know Before Your First Round This Season at The Springs

Welcome Back to the Fairways

The wait is over. Golf season has arrived at The Springs Golf Club in Rancho Mirage, where our newly renovated course is ready to shine. The desert air is crisp, the greens are flawless, and it is time to celebrate the return of another unforgettable Coachella Valley golf season.

Whether you have been counting down the days or just unpacking your clubs, this is the moment we have all been waiting for. Before you tee it up, here are five things that will make your first round of the season smooth, stylish, and pure Springs fun.

  1. Check In, Warm Up, Tee Off

Start your day with a smile and a quick stop at the Pro Shop. All players, including members, social members, and guests, should check in before heading to the first tee. Golf Members can book times up to seven days in advance. Social Members can book two days in advance.

And if you have not hit a range ball since April, you are in luck. Our upgraded practice facilities are the perfect place to shake off the rust. Hit a few drives, roll a few putts, and soak in that just-cut-grass smell before your first swing of the season.

  1. Dress Like You Belong on the Cover of Golf Digest

The Springs has always been about casual sophistication, which applies as much to your wardrobe as your attitude. Gentlemen, collared shirts and golf shorts or pants, please. Ladies, sleeveless tops need a collar, collared tops can go sleeveless, and skirts or skorts should hit mid-thigh or longer.

Save the denim, yoga pants, and cargo shorts for brunch. And if you are not sure what counts as golf chic, our Pro Shop team is happy to help you look the part and play the part.

  1. Be Kind to the Course and Each Other

A little etiquette goes a long way. Repair your divots, rake bunkers, and remember that pace of play is not a suggestion. Finishing 18 holes in about four hours keeps everyone happy.

And yes, you can play music. Just keep it low enough that it does not reach the next fairway or someone’s patio. Basically, play fast, play fair, and play nice.

Good etiquette keeps our Rancho Mirage golf course in top shape and ensures everyone enjoys their round from first drive to final putt.

  1. Bring a Friend the Right Way

Golf is better with good company. Guests are always welcome. Just make sure there is at least one Golf or Social Member in each foursome.

Social memberships come with six rounds to share each season at the current guest greens fee. It is the perfect way to bring a friend, host visiting family, or simply enjoy a change of pace.

Fair warning — once they experience The Springs, they might not want to play anywhere else.

  1. Practice Makes Pars

Our practice areas, including the driving range, putting green, and short game area, are open for Golf Members and guests all day, and for Social Members and their families after 2:00 p.m. Just check in at the Pro Shop and rock that golf attire.

There is no better spot to loosen up, work on your sand game, or stage an impromptu putt-off before lunch at The Oasis. Learn more about our practice facilities and golf amenities on our Golf page.

Here’s to a Great Season

This year’s opening marks more than just the return of golf. It is a celebration of everything new and everything classic about The Springs Golf Club, a private golf community where sport, friendship, and the desert lifestyle come together.

Grab your clubs, call your favorite foursome, and get ready for another unforgettable season at The Springs in Rancho Mirage. See you on the first tee.
